About this learning experience
Workshop code 3F-2026-002 · Organised by 3H Foundation · Hosted by Open Dreams
Public Speaking Etiquettes 9.0 is a practical four-hour learning experience focused on purposeful communication. Participants will explore how to communicate with greater clarity, confidence and awareness of the people they are addressing.
Rather than relying on instruction alone, the experience combines facilitated learning, speaking practice, reflection, discussion and constructive feedback. Participants will have opportunities to apply communication principles actively throughout the session.
PSE 9.0 forms part of the 3H Foundation's continuing work in purposeful communication and will introduce participants to practical application of the 3H Framework™ for Purposeful Communication.
What you will explore
Purposeful Communication
Explore the importance of communicating with clear intention rather than simply speaking to be heard.
Head — Clarity & Logic
Practise organising and expressing ideas so that audiences can understand the message.
Heart — Emotion & Empathy
Explore audience awareness, human connection and the role of empathy in communication.
Hands — Action & Practice
Translate communication principles into practical speaking behaviour through active application.
Speaking Practice & Feedback
Practise communicating, reflect on the experience and receive constructive feedback.
The 3H Framework™ for Purposeful Communication
The 3H Framework™ approaches purposeful communication through three interconnected dimensions:
- Head
- Clarity and logic.
- Heart
- Emotion and empathy.
- Hands
- Action and practice.
During PSE 9.0, participants will use these dimensions as a practical way to think about, practise and reflect on their communication.
Explore the 3H Framework™Who is this for?
PSE 9.0 is designed for members of the Open Dreams community and other young people interested in developing their communication and public-speaking practice.
You do not need to be an experienced public speaker. The learning experience is intended for participants who want practical opportunities to communicate, practise, reflect and learn.
Capacity: 20 participants
What to expect
This is an active learning experience rather than a lecture. Participants can expect:
- Facilitated learning
- Practical speaking exercises
- Individual reflection
- Discussion
- Constructive feedback
- Opportunities to apply the 3H Framework™ during communication practice
Beyond the workshop: an optional research opportunity
The 3H Foundation is interested not only in what happens during a learning experience, but also in what happens afterwards.
PSE 9.0 is situated within the 3H Research Programme — Phase I, through which the Foundation is studying changes in purposeful communication competence across Head, Heart and Hands and whether those changes are sustained over time.
Eligible participants may be invited to take part in voluntary research connected to the learning experience. The research process may include stages before the workshop, immediately afterwards, and approximately 30, 90 and 180 days later.
Research participation is voluntary.
Registering for PSE 9.0 does not enrol you in research. Workshop participation and research participation are separate. You may participate in the workshop without taking part in the research, and choosing not to participate in research will not affect your place in the learning experience.
